How to Catch a Cheater with a Private Investigator

Trying to catch a cheater?

Has your significant other been acting…different? You can’t quite put a finger on it, but something about them seems suspicious lately. Maybe they’re coming home late without explanation or hiding their texts from you. Whatever it is, you want to know about it. The problem is, however, that finding out the truth in these situations is harder than it seems. If you start to pry, ask questions, and meddle into their business, it will be obvious you’re digging around for information.

If your spouse (or boyfriend/girlfriend) is indeed hiding something, you don’t want them to catch on to the fact you’re trying to uncover the secret. Of course, if there’s nothing to hide, you risk hurting their feelings and losing their trust. The solution? Find out if your S.O. is cheating with the help of a private investigator. We know a thing or two about how to catch a cheater!

Differences in Phone Edicate

Next time the phone rings, pay attention to the way your S.O. answers it. Do they take the call in another room? Do they take one look at the screen and silence it without answering? If behavior seems to change from what is typical, something could be up. Texting more than usual, acting nervous if you ask to use their phone, or keeping it out of view are all behaviors that could mean they have something to hide.

Arriving Late and Canceling Plans

Let’s get this straight: arriving home a few minute late after work probably will not be a cause for alarm. Bad weather, traffic, or a busy day at the office can all be contributing factors to arriving home half past whenever. Worry should only set in if this becomes a regular occurence without any explanation or reasoning. If your S.O. is consistently altering their normal schedule and dodging your questions about it, you may want to seek advice from a private investigator.

Make Notes of Red Flags

Hiring a private investigator still requires a little bit of work on your part. You know your S.O. more than anybody (hopefully) else. This means you are going to be the one who notices behavior that can be qualified as out of the ordinary. By keeping track of these oddities (secret texts, deleted calls, etc.) you will be able to provide your private investigator with the details needed to crack the case. Keeping track of details will also help you when it comes time to confront the cheater. If you have a track record of what they’ve been up to, it will be harder for them to lie their way out of getting caught.

Don’t Jump to Conclusions

When we think something is off, it’s easy to immediately assume the worst. It doesn’t help when you notice one red flag after another, but that doesn’t automatically mean your S.O. is cheating or having an affair. It’s important not to jump to conclusions until you have enough information to know for sure what’s going on. Odd behavior can be attributed to lying and cheating, but sometimes it can just mean your partner is stressed or going through something else that’s difficult for them to cope with.
